How Kids Benefit

The Clubs engage kids in five core areas. The goal of all the programs is to light a spark, strike a chord, and show them life’s vast possibilities.

Five Core Program Areas

  • Education & Career Development – Enables young people to become proficient in basic educational discipline, apply learning to everyday situations, and embrace technology to enhance career potential.
  • Character & Leadership Development - Empowers youth to support and influence their Club and community, assists youth in sustaining meaningful relationships with others, encourages participation in the democratic process; teaches self-respect and a positive cultural identity, as well as respect for other people and their cultural identity.
  • Health & Life Skills – Develops young people’s capacity to engage in positive behaviors that nurture their own well being, set personal goals, and live successfully as self-sufficient adults.
  • The Arts - Encourages youth to develop their creativity and cultural awareness through knowledge and appreciation of visual arts, crafts, performing arts and creative writing.
  • Sports, Fitness and Recreation - Encourages fitness, positive use of leisure time, skills for stress management, appreciation for the environment, and social skills
